Introduced in our MTB range and designed for more aggressive riding, this feature gives the derailleur a super low-profile design. It also reduces chain slap, improves chain retention and minimises the risk of clipping obstacles.

We redesigned the front derailleur and crankset giving the chainline more space, allowing for broader wheel sizes and tires.

An optional lever to control your dropper post can be integrated into the left-hand brake lever. It operates most internally or externally routed dropper posts with a couple of stipulations: the shift cable head must be located at the shifter and the dropper post must be able to clamp to the cable.

Di2 gives you instant, accurate, lighting-fast shifts the first and every time, at the push of a button. Even in the most extreme conditions, shifting is precise and controlled. You can change gear even under heavy load while climbing or accelerating. With Di2, you are in complete control.

CUSTOMIZABLE SETTINGS OFF THE BIKE

SHIMANO’s E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist application allows you to customize your bike, update firmware, and maintain it by connecting wirelessly to your bike. For more detailed bike maintenance, home and shop mechanics can connect their bikes by wire with E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist for Windows application.

SHIMANO’s E-TUBE RIDE application allows you to visualize your ride with a route map to your destination, a real time ride data display, and to record data on your smartphone while you are on the bike. You can also seamlessly upload your ride data to Strava.

This idea of simplicity, along with flawless performance, was the primary driver behind Shimano’s new FRONT SHIFT NEXT Di2 function, which utilizes a single switch button to shift the front chainring to whatever ring it is not currently using. If you're pedaling in the big chainring, just hit the switch, and your front derailleur will drop the chain down to the little ring. Then, hit the same button again, and it'll shift it up to the big chainring again.
